Improving the Surface Friction and Corrosion Resistance of Magnesium Alloy AZ31 by Ion Implantation and Ultrasonic Rolling

The use of the magnesium alloy AZ31 is common in aviation and biomedicine; however, this has poor friction corrosion resistance. Here, mechanical grinding, ultrasonic rolling, rolling + ion implantation were performed on surface to study effect treatment process resistance surface. results show that roughness treated by injection reduced more than grinding rolling. coefficient lowest, wear best, new phase nitrogen compounds appear SBF (simulated body fluid) solution immersion showed sample via composite had lowest rate, which was 62.45% 58.47% lower mechanically ground samples. relatively intact after test, best. These can provide a strategy for protection.
